Redeemer's Missions & Outreach Advocates
Redeemer tithes ten percent of income for missions and outreach. Through the Missions and Outreach Committee, we partner with missions and outreach ministries where we have a relational connection which is developed, nurtured, and supported by a passionate advocate for the ministry. If you are interested in service opportunities or have any questions regarding a specific mission or outreach, email us at ourredeemerlives@bellsouth.net, and we will forward your interest to the appropriate advocate.

Local Outreach
Ennoble’s mission is to ennoble teens, preteens and parents through research, education, and the creative expression of Christian principles. We live in dangerous and desperate times. Our children are bombarded with pressures far beyond their ability to cope. Telling them the truth about who they are, the significance of their choices, and that God has a plan and purpose for their lives is paramount to their future—and ours. Without a doubt, parents are the greatest positive influence in the lives of their children—if they choose to be. What is needed to save this generation is nothing less than a parent movement whereby millions of parents rise up, take charge, and refuse to lose their kids. Telling the truth to young people in a way they can hear it is not easy. It must be creative, realistic, relational, and entertaining. Using media and technology, combined with experience of other teems and young adults, Ennoble delivers large doses of truth to a generation that is drowning in lies.
Several members of Church of the Redeemer serve on the Board of Directors of Ennoble, many members serve in its local programs, and Redeemer supports Ennoble financially. Its founder is our own Rev. Dr. Drew Edwards. www.ennoblefoundation.org
Prison Ministry Church of the Redeemer is very active in Kairos Prison Ministry International in northeast Florida by leading and serving during weekend retreats held at local correction facilities. Local classes in churches of many denominations, city-wide celebrations of the biblical Feasts, and events done in partnership with the Jewish community have all in the past had a significant role in shaping Redeemer’s understanding of the scriptures. www.shoresh.org
International Missions
Juan and Maria Isabel Marentes left their SAMS (South American Missionary Society) assignment in Lima Peru in May 2009 after serving the wonderful Peruvian people for three years. They are currently working in Belize in Central America. Juan is now the Priest-in-Charge of St.Andrew's Anglican Church in San Ignacio, Belize, and of St. Hilda’s Rural Mission nearby. The Anglican Diocese of Belize is part of the eight dioceses of the Anglican Province of the West Indies. Juan and Maria also serve as the Chaplains of the three primary Anglican schools in the area. Maria is working with Juan in these ministries and is, as usual, leading the children's ministries at the two churches. They are also starting a ministry to meet the needs of the homeless in San Ignacio. The Marentes have three sons, the oldest is Bernardo who just recently graduated from Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), Sebastian is attending the Univ. of North Fl. (UNF) in Jacksonville Fl, and Tomas will begin college this fall also at UNF. www.sams-usa.org
